On Tuesday 18th January 2011 we were privileged to hold the Farriers First International Pudding Contest: What a great evening!

Contestants bringing along a home-made pudding were presented with a glass of bubbly then the discerning Jury (fine upstanding members of the Community especially selected for their ability to donate a few quid towards the Pilgrims Hospice) tasted, and voted for, each of the puddings.


There was fierce competition from 27 entries including Belgian Congo and Turkish cuisine and we raised another £41 for the Hospice. 
The winner was Jon Stiff with a superb bread and butter pudding, Joint 2nd were Gill Peterson and Maria Severs followed very closely by Claudine Rothera .
 
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the event such a success – we’ll definitely do this again.
